Adnan Al-Ghoul
Adnan Al-Ghoul (c. 1962 – 21 October 2004) ( ar, عدنان الغول ) was the assistant of Mohammed Deif, the leader of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas. He was killed in a targeted killing along with Imad Abbas when an Israeli Air Force AH-64 helicopter attacked their car in Gaza on 21 October 2004.Data tabulated froB'Tselem Statistics, Fatalities He is seen as a martyr by Hamas members. Adnan Al-Ghoul was one of the senior operatives in Hamas' military-terrorist apparatus. Mohammed Deif
Mohammed Deif ( ar, محمّد ضيف ; born 1965 in Khan Younis), born Mohammed Diab Ibrahim al-Masri, is a Palestinian chief of staff and supreme military commander of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. He has been Israel's 'most wanted' man since 1995 for killing IDF soldiers, planning suicide bombings and kidnappings. The most recent Israeli attempt to kill Deif was during Operation Guardian of the Walls in May 2021. Deif's wife, infant son, and daughter were killed by an Israeli attack in 2014. The United States Department of State added Deif to its list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists on 8 September 2015. Maghazi (camp)
Maghazi ( ar, مخيم المغازي) is located in the Deir al-Balah Governorate in the central Gaza Strip. It is a Palestinian people, Palestinian refugee camp that was established in 1949. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the Refugee Camp had a population of 24,284 in mid-year 2006. The refugee camp is built on 559 dunam, dunums (0.6 km²). In early 1949 Quaker aid workers visited Maghazi and reported that there were 2,500 refugees camped on privately owned land. They were living in Bedouin and Egyptian army tents as well the British army barracks. Most of the refugees had come from eight villages including Yasur (village), Yasur, Qastina, Al-Batani al-Sharqi, Al-Batani al-Gharbi and Al-Maghar. Ahmed Yasin
Sheikh Ahmed Ismail Hassan Yassin ( ar, الشيخ أحمد إسماعيل حسن ياسين; 1 January 1937 – 22 March 2004) was a Palestinian politician and imam who founded Hamas, a militant Islamist and Palestinian nationalist organization in the Gaza Strip, in 1987. He served as the organization's spiritual leader after its founding. Yassin, a quadriplegic who was nearly blind, had been reliant on a wheelchair due to a sporting accident at the age of 12. In 2004, he was killed when an Israeli helicopter gunship fired a missile at him as he was being wheeled from Fajr prayer in Gaza City. Ismail Abdel Salam Ahmed Haniyeh; sometimes transliterated as Haniya, Haniyah, or Hanieh (born 29 January 1962) is a senior political leader of Hamas and formerly one of two disputed Prime Ministers of the Palestinian National Authority. The Yasin ( ar, ياسين ), also known as Yassin, or Al-Yassin, is an anti-tank weapon developed by Hamas, first deployed in 2004. It was named after Hamas' spiritual leader, Sheik Ahmed Yasin, killed by the Israeli Defense Forces, or IDF, on March 22, 2004. Primarily used by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, it has also been deployed by Hamas units in Gaza, including the Executive Force, and Naval Police. The Batar ( ar, البتار) rocket launcher is a weapon developed by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian militant group Hamas during the Al-Aqsa Intifada.
