Adnan Menderes Boulevard ( tr, Adnan Menderes Bulvarı) is a major avenue in Mersin, Turkey. It is named after Adnan Menderes (1899-1961), the prime minister of Turkey between 1950 and 1960. Geography The eastern end of the boulevard is a junction at on İsmet İnönü Boulevard. While İsmet İnönü Boulevard continues to northwest Adnan Menderes Boulevard runs to west and south east. It is parallel to Mediterranean Sea coast, the distance between the coast and the boulevard is about . The area is used for recreation by residents of Mersin. Many coffeehouses as well as parks designed by various football clubs are situated at this recreational area. The Mersin Marina is also situated within this area. Mersin (), also known as İçel, is a large city and a port on the Mediterranean Sea, Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey. It is the provincial capital of Mersin Province, Mersin (İçel) Province. İsmet İnönü Boulevard ( tr, İsmet İnönü Bulvarı) is a major avenue in Mersin, Turkey. It is named after İsmet İnönü (1884-1973), the second president of Turkish Republic between 1938 and 1950. Geography The eastern end of the boulevard is to the north of the Mersin Harbor, where it meets the state highway at about . It runs parallel to the Mediterranean Sea coast line to south west for about within the second-level municipality of Akdeniz. The Atatürk Park is between the boulevard and the sea. The governor's office, mayor's office, Mersin Grand Mosque Atatürk Manument and Mersin Halkevi are situated to the north of the boulevard. It crosses Müftü River and continues within Yenişehir second-level municipality. The Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium is to the north of the boulevard and Mersin Lighthouse is to the south.
