Admire is a city in Lyon County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 130. History Admire was founded in 1886. It was named for one of its founders, Jacob Admire. The first post office in Admire was established in November 1886. Admire was a station and shipping point on the Missouri Pacific Railroad. By the mid 1990s, rail service in Admire had been discontinued, and the tracks are now being used as a rail trail. Admire's current acting mayor is Robert Reust. The former mayor, prior to January 2022, was Michael Spade, a local farmer. Geography Admire is located at (38.641416, -96.101932). Admir Raščić (born 16 September 1981) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Second League of FBiH - Center club NK Azot Vitkovići. Club career Born in Foča, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, Raščić began his career playing with FK Željezničar Sarajevo in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Premier League, often appearing upfront alongside a young Edin Džeko. Admir Mehmedi (born 16 March 1991) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a second striker or centre forward for Süper Lig club Antalyaspor. He represented the Switzerland national team. Early life Mehmedi was born in Gostivar, North Macedonia. He is of Albanian heritage. Admir Ćatović (; born 5 September 1987) is a Bosnian-Swedish footballer who plays as a striker for Assyriska FF. Career Starting his career in the Vasalunds IF youth system, Ćatović moved on to Råsunda IS and eventually was picked up by AIK. AIK was relegated to Superettan in 2004, and Ćatović took a place in the senior team prior to the 2005 season. However, his appearance on the field was limited to 2 league matches and 2 cup matches, he scored once against Västra Frölunda IF when he gave AIK the lead after nine minutes in a 3–0 victory. When AIK was promoted back to Allsvenskan, Ćatović did not follow and was released to AIK's Farm team Väsby United. Admir Adrović (; born 8 May 1988) is a Montenegrin football forward who plays for FK Podgorica. Club career He started his career at FK Berane, breaking into the first-team in 2005. In 2007, he joined Sutjeska Nikšić. After a loan spell at S.C. Damash he joined FK Budućnost Podgorica on a free transfer. Admir Softić (born 14 May 1986) is a Bosnian retired professional association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. Playing career Softić was born in Sarajevo. started his career with Cork City F.C., Cork City in Ireland in 2003, having moved there from his native country Bosnia and Herzegovina. Softić had a successful time with Cork City's youth teams and that caught the eye of the senior manager who signed him as a full-time pro at the age of 17. Admir Teli (born 2 June 1981) is an Albanian retired professional footballer who played as a defender. He spent most of his career in Albania and Azerbaijan, where he collected more than 400 appearances by representing Vllaznia Shkodër and Qarabağ, winning six major trophies in the process. Club career Born in Ljubinje, Vladavić's career began in a small club Iskra Stolac, which consisted mainly of refugees from Stolac who lived in Mostar during the Bosnian War.
