Adib Boroumand
Adib Boroumand (or Adīb Borūmand) ( fa, ادیب برومند; 11 June 1924 – 13 March 2017) was an Iranian poet, politician, and lawyer. He was the head of the leadership council and chairman of the central council of the National Front of Iran. He is known as the national poet of Iran. He was born on 11 June 1924 in Gaz, Borkhar County, Isfahan, Persia (present-day Iran). He received a BA in Judicial Law from the University of Tehran, and since then he had been lived in Tehran. Adib Zainudin
Muhammad Adib bin Zainudin (born 15 February 1995) is a Malaysian footballer who plays for Malaysia Super League club Terengganu. Adib plays mainly as a centre-back. Adib was promoted as the captain of the Malaysia U-23 national team in 2016 after the former captain Faris Shah Rosli got a long-term injury. He was part of the national team that qualified for the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship that will take place in China. Mustapha Abdul Wahed Adib ( ar, مصطفى عبد الواحد أديب ; born 30 August 1972) is a Lebanese diplomat, politician and academic who has served as Lebanese Ambassador to Germany since 11 July 2013. In 2020, he was chosen as the prime minister-designate but stepped down when he failed to form a cabinet. Adib Fahim is the former deputy director general of Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security. His father, Marshal Mohammad Fahim, was the first vice president of Afghanistan. Following the death of his father in March 2014, Adib was appointed as his father's successor in the social arena at a ceremony organized by then president Karzai in Afghanistan's Presidential Palace. Adib Khan is an Australian novelist of Bangladeshi origin. He moved to Australia in 1973 and obtained an MA from Monash University in 1976. He taught creative writing at Ballarat University, and in 2007 returned to Monash to pursue a PhD. Khan started writing in his 40s and has published five novels. Mustapha Adib (activist)
Mustapha Adib ( ar, مصطفى أديب; born 1968 in Taroudannt) is an ex-captain in the Royal Moroccan Air Force. In late 1999, he was arbitrarily detained then imprisoned for 30 months after he denounced corruption in the military. Imprisonment in 1999 Mustapha Adib was stationed in Errachidia and was in charge of Telecommunications maintenance in the Moroccan Air Forces, there he witnessed theft of fuel by high-ranking officials of the military. In late 1998, he wrote a letter to Mohammed VI (then crown prince) denouncing the corruption he saw. He was prosecuted for the same acts he denounced but was at first acquitted. He was later received by the new commander of the Air Force, Ahmed Boutaleb and after insisting on having the corrupt officials prosecuted he was condemned in 2000 to 30 months in prison. Auguste Adib Pacha
Auguste Adib Pacha (2 August 1859 – 9 July 1936) ( ar, أوغست أديب باشا) was the first Prime Minister of Lebanon, which at the time was a part of the Mandate for Syria and the Lebanon. He served in that capacity twice between 1926 and 1932. Life Auguste Charles Adib was born in Constantinople to Ibrahim Adib and Maddalena Veronica Collaro. Adib Domingos Jatene (June 4, 1929 – November 14, 2014) was a noted Brazilian physician of Lebanese background, university professor, scientist and thoracic surgeon. He is remembered as the inventor of the arterial switch operation (sometimes called the Jatene arterial switch), a surgical technique to correct transposition of the great vessels in the newborn. Adib al-Shishakli (1909 – 27 September 1964 ar, أديب الشيشكلي, ʾAdīb aš-Šīšaklī) was a Syrian military leader and President of Syria from 1953 to 1954. Adib Ishaq ( ar, اديب اسحق, ; 21 January 1856 – 12 June 1885) was an important Syrian literary figure of nineteenth-century Arab Nahda. Born in Damascus (then a city of the Ottoman Empire, and the present-day capital of Syria), he was enrolled at a Lazarists' school, where he studied Arabic and French. He left school before he was even twelve years old to meet his family's needs by working at the customs house.. This experience would make him proficient in Turkish as well.
