Jean-Claude Ades
Jean Claude Ades is a German-born electronic music producer. He has resided and worked in Italy, France, and Spain, specialising in house and electro music. Biography Ades first started DJ-ing at the age of 16. In 1995 he has released his first single under the artist name J.C.A. In 2002 he changed it to Krystal K. In 2006 he found his own label, B!CRAZY, which is today also an entertainment venue in Ibiza owned by Ades. He gained further prominence by releasing digital tracks through Beatport during the 2010s. Ades gained worldwide popularity after releasing "Shingaling" in April 2008 alongside another French producer Thomas Vincent. The track is a mixture of electrotech and tribal house and features samples from the 1968 salsa hit "Shingaling Shingaling" by Puerto-Rican band Kako & His Orchestra. Joseph Ades (; 18 December 1934 – 1 February 2009), also known as the "Gentleman Peeler", was a well-known street peeler seller in New York City, United States. Early life Joseph Ades, the youngest of seven children, was born in Manchester, England, to a Jewish family where his father worked in the textile industry. Leaving school at 15, he became an office boy before becoming intrigued by the local markets that would spring-up in the World War II–devastated landscapes of Northern England. He started out hawking comic books before selling linens, textiles, jewellery, and toys directly on the streets. Australia In 1956 he married Shirley, eventually having three children. The family moved to Australia in 1969 as Ten Pound Poms and settled in Sydney, where Ades tried to set up markets in the parking lots of drive-in movies. Ades Synagogue
The Ades Synagogue, ( he, בית הכנסת עדס), also known as the Great Synagogue Ades of the Glorious Aleppo Community, located in Jerusalem's Nachlaot neighborhood, was established by Syrian immigrants in 1901. It is considered to be the center of Syrian Hazzanut in Israel. Origins At turn of the 20th century, many members of Syria's Jewish community had emigrated to escape the economic downturn which followed the decline of the Ottoman Empire. While many settled in England, the United States or Latin America, some families moved to the Holy Land. Most community members were laborers, shopkeepers or merchants. After some time, the synagogue was officially established in 1901 by a community of Jews from Aleppo, Syria. It is named after two cousins who financed the building: Ovadiah Josiah Ades and Yosef Isaac Ades. Steven Robert Ades (born 1 March 1982) is a former English first-class cricketer. Ades was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. Biography Born in Brighton, Sussex, Ades represented the Sussex Cricket Board in List A cricket. The first of these came against Herefordshire in the 2000 NatWest Trophy. From 2000 to 2001, he represented the county in five List A matches, the last of which came against Wales Minor Counties in the second round of the 2002 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was held in 2001.
