Adeneko Svhat-Haimovitch
Adenko Svhat-Haimovitch (born 1976, Hebrew: אדנקו סבחת-חיימוביץ) is an Israeli Lawyer who serves as a Judge in the Magistrate's Court in the Central District of Israel. Svhat-Haimovitch is one of the first two judges from Ethiopia appointed in Israel (along with Esther Tafta-Gerdi). Personal life Svhat-Haimovitch was born in 1967 in the village of Mawari near the city of Gondar in the state of Amhara in northern Ethiopia. Her name, Adenko in Amharic means "praise." She is the fourth daughter of Sarah and Taga Sabhat's six children. She has more siblings from her father's other marriage. When she was eight, she immigrated to Israel via Sudan as part of Beta Israel with her family. Rav Nitzav Yohanan Danino ( he, יוחנן דנינו; born 1959) is an Israeli police officer who served from May 1, 2011, to June 30, 2015, as the 17th chief of the Israel Police. Among other posts, he has led the Unit of International Crime Investigations and the police's Southern Command. He was also involved in high-profile investigations against top politicians, including Ehud Olmert, Avraham Hirschson, and Avigdor Lieberman. Ethiopian Jews In Israel
Ethiopian Jews in Israel are immigrants and descendants of the immigrants from the Beta Israel communities in Ethiopia who now reside in Israel. To a lesser, but notable, extent, the Ethiopian Jewish community in Israel is also composed of Falash Mura, a community of Beta Israel which had converted to Christianity over the course of the past two centuries, but were permitted to immigrate to Israel upon returning to Israelite religion - this time largely to Rabbinic Judaism.
