Yoruba (, ; Yor. '; Ajami script, Ajami: ) is a language spoken in West Africa, primarily in South West (Nigeria), Southwestern Middle Belt, and Central Nigeria. It is spoken by the Ethnic group, ethnic Yoruba people. The number of Yoruba speakers is roughly 50 million, plus about 2 million second-language speakers. As a pluricentric language, it is primarily spoken in a dialectal area spanning Nigeria and Benin with smaller migrated communities in Côte d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone and The Gambia. Ayoade Ademola Adeseun (born 1 January 1953) is Nigerian politician who was elected Senator for Oyo Central, in Oyo State, Nigeria, in the 9 April 2011 national elections, running on the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) platform. Background Ayo Adeseun was born on 1 January 1953. He gained his West African School Certificate in 1972 from Ogbomoso Grammar School, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. In 1976 he obtained a Diploma in Town Planning from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State, and was an Assistant Town Planning Officer with Urban Development Consultants in Ibadan, oyo state from 1976 to 1977.
