Adeiso
Adeiso is capital of the Upper West Akim district of the Eastern Region of Ghana. Location Adeiso is located just north of the southern border of the Eastern Region. Nsawam, capital of the Nsawam Adoagyire municipal district is located to the east. To the northwest is Asamankese, capital of the West Akim Municipal District and to the west are Akroso. To the southwest is Bawjiase in the Assin North District of the Central Region and to the south east, Amasaman, capital of the Ga West Municipal District in the Greater Accra Region. Upper West Akim District
Upper West Akim District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger West Akim District in 1988, which was created from the former West Akim District Council, which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 1 November 2007 (effectively 29 February 2008) to become West Akim Municipal District West Akim Municipal District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Route IR1
The IR1 or Inter-Regional Highway 1 is a highway in Ghana that begins at Mankessim in the Central Region and runs through Agona Swedru and Nsawam to Aburi. It runs parallel to the N1 between the Central and Eastern regions, and has a total distance of 142 kilometers (88.23 miles). Nsawam Adoagyire (municipal District)
Nsawam-Adoagyire Municipal District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as the first Akuapim South District, which it was created from the former Akuapim District Council; until it was elevated to municipal district assembly status to become Akuapim South Municipal District, with Nsawam as its capital town. However on 6 February 2012, the northeast part of the district was split off to create a new Akuapim South District, with Aburi as its capital town; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Nsawam-Adoagyire Municipal District, with Nsawam as its capital town. Mankessim
Mankessim is a town in the Central Region of Ghana, West Africa. It is approximately 75 km west of Accra, on the main road to Sekondi-Takoradi. It is the traditional headquarters of the Fante ethnic group of Ghana. Mankessim's history is linked to three famed warriors (Obrumankoma, Odapagyan and Oson) who helped the people migrate from Techiman in the current Brong Ahafo Region to Adoagyir in the Central region. The town is located at an elevation of 75 meters above sea level and its population amounts to 26,909. Mankessim is the traditional paramount for all the Fantse-speaking people and is linked to the Nananom Pow (sacred grove) near Obidan.
