Adamu Garba Talba
Adamu Garba Talba (born 15 August 1952) is a native of Karekare language, Karai-Karai born in Nangere, Yobe State. He was elected Senator for the Yobe South constituency of Yobe State, Nigeria, taking office on 29 May 2007. Education Talba gained a Diploma In Public Administration and entered the Yobe State Civil Service. He was twice council Chairman of Nangere Local Government Council in Yobe State. He was appointed chairman of the Board Of Management, Federal Medical Centre, Alare, Director of NNDC, Kaduna and was Commissioner Of Health for Yobe State. Career and achievements As Senator, in September 2008, Talba advocated establishment of a National Desert Commission to tackle desert encroachment in the northern part of the country. Yobe State
Yobe is a state located in northeastern Nigeria. A mainly agricultural state, it was created on 27 August 1991. Yobe State was carved out of Borno State. The capital of Yobe State is Damaturu; and it's largest and most populated city is Potiskum. Geography The state borders four states: Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, and Jigawa.Yobe State shares borders with Borno State to the east, Gombe State to the south, Bauchi and Jigawa States to the west and Niger Republic to the north. Ibrahim Gaidam is a Nigerian politician and the incumbent Senator of Yobe East Senatorial District, Nigeria since June 2019. He was the immediate past governor of Yobe State, succeeded by the Former APC National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni on 29 May 2019. Background Ibrahim Gaidam was born on 15th September 1956 in Bukarti village, Yunusari local government area in the old Borno, now Yobe state. He attended the Borno Teachers' College (BTC), Maiduguri from 1974 to 1979, where he obtained a Teachers' Certificate.
