Adam is the name given in Genesis 1–5 to the first human. Adam is the first human-being aware of God, and features as such in various belief systems (including Judaism, Christianity, Gnosticism and Islam). Andrija Ljudevit Adamić
Andrija Ljudevit Adamić (; 29 November 1766 – 31 October 1828) was a Croatian trader from the City of Fiume (), builder, supporter of economical and cultural development. Adamich was born into a wealthy Jewish family of Simon Adamić, tobacco merchant and large estates owner. Adamich was the founder and owner of many factories and manufacturers (paper, liquor, rope, etc.), and a shipowner. He co-founded the Fiume-based firm ''Simone Adamich e Figlio'' ('Simone Adamich & Son') with his father in 1786 and worked there until 1800. As the building chancellor of the Fiume ''Gubernium'' in 1790, he tried to transform Fiume into a modern city. His works on the plan of urbanism are also noted. In 1805 he financed and built a theatre with a capacity of 1,600 people, which was subsequently razed. Bojan Adamič
Bojan Adamič a.k.a. Master (; 9 August 1912 – 3 November 1995), Slovene Partisans nom de guerre Gregor, was a well-known Slovene composer of jazz, the Slovenian song festival music, and particularly film scores. He was also an avid photographer, interested particularly in carnival figures from Ptuj. Life Adamič was born in Ribnica in the Duchy of Carniola, Austria-Hungary. He finished the Poljane Grammar School in 1931, and earned a degree in piano from the Ljubljana Music Academy in June 1941. During World War II, he financially supported the anti-fascist Slovenian resistance movement. In 1943, he joined Slovene Partisans, where he was also injured in an attack by Germans and was relocated to the headquarters, providing music that was then emitted by the Liberation Front Radio. Emil Adamič (December 25, 1877 – December 6, 1936) was among the most productive Slovenian composers. He wrote choral and orchestral music, altogether over 1,000 works. Adamič was born in Dobrova to August Adamič (1843–1915) and Katharina Brus Adamič (1854–1915). He studied at conservatories in Trieste and Ljubljana. During the First World War, he was a prisoner of war in Tashkent. Lada Adamic is an American network scientist, who researches information dynamics in networks. She studies how network structure influences the flow of information, how information influences the evolution of networks, and crowdsourced knowledge sharing. Adamic was a director of research at Facebook, where she led a computational social science team. She was previously an associate professor at the University of Michigan until 2013. Previously she worked in Hewlett-Packard's Information Dynamics Lab on research projects relating to network constructed from large data sets. Louis Adamic (; March 23, 1898 – September 4, 1951) was a Slovene American, Slovene-American author and translator, mostly known for writing about and advocating for ethnic diversity of the United States.
