Adam Yates
Adam Richard Yates (born 7 August 1992) is a British road and track racing cyclist who currently rides for . He placed fourth overall at the 2016 Tour de France and became the first British rider to win the young rider classification, one year ahead of his twin brother Simon. Early life and amateur career Adam and Simon took up cycling after their father John was injured in a collision with a car while riding – during his recovery he took the twins to Manchester Velodrome to track sessions run by his cycling club, Bury Clarion, to keep in touch with the other members. Both brothers soon started riding on the road for Bury Clarion and on the track for Eastlands Velo. Whilst Simon was selected for the British Cycling Olympic Academy programme, Adam pursued his road racing career in France with financial help from the Dave Rayner Fund. The 2015 Tour of Alberta was the third edition of the Tour of Alberta stage race. The event was included on the UCI America Tour, with a UCI classification of 2.1. Rubén Fernández Andújar (born 1 March 1991) is a Spanish cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Fernández was born in Murcia. Dave Rayner (cyclist)
David John Rayner (born 4 March 1967, Shipley, West Riding of Yorkshire - 16 November 1994, Yorkshire) was an English professional racing cyclist who died aged 27 after an incident outside the Maestro nightclub, in Manningham Lane, Bradford. He was put on a life support machine at Bradford Royal Infirmary but died the next day. Cycling career Rayner joined his first club, East Bradford CC, at 12 in 1979. He then joined the Bradford Wheelers - Ellis Briggs - Saturne in 1984, and won the national junior road race championships at Stoke on Trent. Early in 1984, he moved to Italy, joining the G.S.Porcari-Fanini-Berti Team, with which he stayed until 1986. Rayner competed in the junior world championship in 1985. After winning the under-22 award in the Milk Race in 1987, he turned professional for Interent-Yugo in Britain. The National Clarion Cycling Club is a British cycling club founded in 1894, and which retained strong links with the labour movement through the 20th century. Manchester Velodrome is an indoor Olympic-standard cycle-racing track in Manchester, England, which opened in 1994. Part of the National Cycling Centre, the facility has been home to British Cycling since 1994, coinciding with the nations rise to track cycling dominance at World and Olympic level. 2015 Clásica De San Sebastián
The 2015 Clásica de San Sebastián was a one-day cycling classic that took place in the Basque Country in Spain on 1 August 2015. It was the 35th edition of the Clásica de San Sebastián and was the nineteenth race of the 2015 UCI World Tour. The defending champion was Alejandro Valverde (), who won a solo victory in the 2014 race. The race took place in and around the city of San Sebastián and was in length. The principal difficulty in the race was the sequence of climbs in the final part of the course. Adam Yates () attacked on the final climb, the Bordako Tontorra. Greg Van Avermaet () was leading the race at the time, but he was hit by a race motorbike, forcing him out of the race.
