Adam Screeney
Adam Screeney (born January 2005) is an Irish hurler. At club level he plays with Kilcormac–Killoughey and at inter-county level with the Offaly senior hurling team. He is a brother of Jack Screeney. Career Screeney first played hurling to a high standard as a student at Coláiste Naomh Cormac. He scored 2-13 when the school team beat Hamilton High School to claim the All-Ireland PPS SBHC title in 2023. Screeney's performances for the school resulted in his inclusion on the combined Offaly Schools team which also won the Leinster PPS SAHC in 2023. He has also lined out for the University of Limerick. After progressing through the juvenile and underage ranks with the Kilcormac–Killoughey club, Screeney made his senior team debut in 2023. He ended the season with an Offaly SHC medal, while he was also the team's top scorer at county and provincial levels with 2-56. The 2024 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship is the sixth staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship, All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 61st staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship, minor and All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, senior grades. The Leinster GAA Hurling Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland Leinster GAA Hurling Minor Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The Leinster GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 Championship known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). 2021 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2021 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 91st staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 30 June 2021 and ended on 21 August 2021. The 2021 championship was the first in over 90 years to begin before the previous year's championship had concluded. The number of participating teams also increased, with Down and Meath joining the Leinster Championship. Galway entered the championship as the defending champions in search of a fifth successive title. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. The 2024 Offaly Senior Hurling Championship was the 127th staging of the Offaly Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Offaly County Board in 1896. The draw for the group stage placings was made on 20 February 2024. The championship ran from 18 July to 20 October 2024. Kilcormac–Killoughey were the defending champions. Seir Kieran were due to be relegated, however, they earned a reprieve after Kilcormac–Killoughey decided not to field their second team, in spite of earning their right to promotion after winning the Senior B Championship. The final was played on 20 October 2024 at Glenisk O'Connor Park in Tullamore, between Kilcormac–Killoughey and Ballinamere, in what will be their first ever meeting in the final. The 2023 Offaly Senior Hurling Championship was the 126th staging of the Offaly Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Offaly County Board in 1896. The draw for the group stage placings was made on 20 March 2023. The championship ran from 7 July to 15 October 2023. Shinrone entered the championship as the defending champions. The final was played on 15 October 2023 at Grant Heating St Brendan's Park in Birr, between Kilcormac–Killoughey and Shinrone, in what was their second consecutive meeting in the final. The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Club Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Club Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The Laois County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Luthchleas Gael Coiste Laois) or Laois GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Laois.
