Adam Schoenfeld
Adam Schoenfeld is an American professional poker player and former columnist for ''Card Player (magazine), Card Player'' magazine. Schoenfeld decided to quit his job as the vice president of an Internet analysis firm, WebMediaBrands, Jupiter Communications, in order to play poker full-time. In the 2004 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Schoenfeld played in ten events but did not make any money. That same year, he made the top 15 in World Poker Tour events three times, making one final table. Though featured on ESPN's coverage of the 2006 World Series of Poker, 2006 Main Event, he did not cash. For the 2007 World Series of Poker, 2007 WSOP, Schoenfeld again played in select tournaments, but once again failed to cash. He co-hosted a series of shows entitled ''The Scoop'' for ''Card Player''s online television network during the 2007 events. As of 2010, his total live tournament winnings exceed $430,000. The 2004 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was held at Binion's Horseshoe after Harrah's Entertainment purchased the casino and the rights to the tournament in January. Harrah's announced that future WSOP tournaments will be held in a moving circuit of member casinos. The 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP) began on June 1st, 2007. The $10,000 ( US) no-limit Texas hold 'em Main Event began on July 6th and was completed on the morning of July 18th. All events were held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada by Harrah's Entertainment, which has run the annual event since its purchase from the Binion family in 2004. For the first time players began each event with double the amount of chips as the buy-in. This means that players in the Main Event started with 20,000 chips. The blind structure has also been increased and some blind levels removed but slowed to allow for more play. Evelyn Ng (born September 14, 1975 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian professional poker player. She lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Early life Ng began her gaming career playing pool for money at age 14. By age 17, she had expanded into dealing blackjack and poker games in her hometown of Toronto. Around that time, she dated fellow Canadian poker player Daniel Negreanu. He helped her develop a style of play designed to combat aggressive players.
