Adam Charles Peterson (born December 11, 1965) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Peterson spent parts of five seasons in the majors between and with the Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres of the Major League Baseball (MLB). In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk.
