Adam Helewka
Adam Helewka (born on July 21, 1995) is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger. He is currently playing with HC TWK Innsbruck of the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). Early life Helewka was born on July 21, 1995, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, to parents Alison and Dave. His mother, a teacher, was born and raised in Wales while his father played rugby in Saskatchewan. Playing career Growing up in Burnaby, Helewka played with the Burnaby Winter Club of the Burnaby Minor Hockey League and Vancouver Northwest Giants, of the BC Hockey Major Midget League. After originally being cut from his tier-one team during his second year of bantams, and failing to join the Giants, he enrolled at the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame and played Double-A midget hockey. BC Hockey Major Midget League
The BC Elite Hockey League - U18 AAA (formerly the BC Hockey Major Midget League), or BCEHL, is the highest level of provincial U18 ice hockey league in British Columbia, Canada. Governed by BC Hockey and inaugurated in 2004, the league consists of 10 teams. Players range from 15 to 17 years old. BCEHL is part of BC Hockeys' "High Proformance" program to develop the best midget-aged players around the province. The league champion goes on to compete with the top Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL) team to represent the Pacific region at the annual Telus Cup, Canada's national midget championship. 2018–19 AHL Season
The 2018–19 AHL season was the 83rd season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began October 5, 2018 and ended April 15, 2019. The 2019 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. League changes The league expanded by adding the Colorado Eagles to the Pacific Division and moved the two Texas-based teams to the Central Division from the Pacific. The Cleveland Monsters were moved from the Central to the North Division. Similar to the California and Arizona teams in the Pacific Division, Colorado plays 68 games in the regular season. Kyle Wood (born May 4, 1996) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing for Kunlun Red Star of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Wood was drafted 84th overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Wood played youth hockey in his hometown of Waterloo, Ontario, and was selected in the third round, 57th overall, by the Brampton Battalion of the OHL Priority Selection in 2012. The Arizona Coyotes are a professional ice hockey team based in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The 2016–17 AHL season was the 81st season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 14, 2016, and ended on April 15, 2017. The 2017 Calder Cup playoffs began on April 20, 2017. Regular season The AHL had a slight alignment shift with the addition of the Tucson Roadrunners to the one-year-old Pacific Division, bringing the division member total up to eight. The Red Deer Rebels are a Western Hockey League junior ice hockey team based in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. The Rebels play at the Peavey Mart Centrium.
