Adam Haywood
Adam Seymour Haywood (23 March 1875 – May 1932) was an English footballer who played as an inside-forward. Some sources spell his surname as ''Heywood'' or ''Hayward''. Biography Haywood was born in Horninglow, Burton upon Trent. He turned professional with Woolwich Arsenal in January 1896; he made his debut against Leicester Fosse on 25 January 1896 and was an ever-present for the rest of the 1895-96 season. He continued to play as a mainstay in the Arsenal side the following three seasons, scoring regularly as well (his best being 1898-99, when he scored 12 goals in 23 league games). In total he played 91 times for Arsenal, scoring 36 goals, but Arsenal's financial situation meant they were forced to accept a £50 bid from Glossop North End in May 1899. Horninglow
Horninglow is a suburb of Burton upon Trent in East Staffordshire. Horninglow lies to the north west of Burton, and is linked to the town centre by the A511. It forms part of the civil parish of Horninglow and Eton. History Horninglow is one of the older parishes, shown on maps as early as . Over time its development has increased the size of the area to its current layout. The Church of England parish church of Horninglow is St John the Divine, part of the Diocese of Lichfield. The building dates from 1866; the architect was Edwin Holmes of Birmingham. Old Trafford () is a football stadium in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, and the home of Manchester United. The Fylde
The Fylde () is a coastal plain in western Lancashire, England. It is roughly a square-shaped peninsula, bounded by Morecambe Bay to the north, the Ribble estuary to the south, the Irish Sea to the west, and the foot of the Bowland hills to the east which approximates to a section of the M6 motorway and West Coast Main Line. Geography It is a flat, alluvial plain, parts of which have deposits of and were once dug for peat. The River Wyre meanders across the Fylde from Garstang on the eastern edge, westwards towards Poulton and then northwards to the sea at Fleetwood.
