Adam Granduciel
Adam Granofsky (born February 15, 1979), better known under his stage name Adam Granduciel, is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is the frontman and primary songwriter of the indie rock band The War on Drugs, with whom he has recorded five studio albums, and a former member of Kurt Vile's backing band The Violators. Early life Adam Granduciel was born in Dover, Massachusetts. His father Mark Granofsky is a first-generation American who was born to Russian-Jewish immigrants. He attended the Roxbury Latin School of West Roxbury. A French-language pun by a teacher there inspired his stage name; "du ciel" means "of sky" in French. Austin Psych Fest
Levitation (formerly Austin Psych Fest) is an annual 3-day music festival developed and produced by The Reverberation Appreciation Society. Since its sixth year in 2013 it has been held at Carson Creek Ranch in Austin, Texas. Inspired by the creative explosion of the 1960s, as well as by festivals such as ATP and Primavera Sound, they set out to create their vision of a music festival. Matador Records
Matador Records is an independent record label, with a roster of mainly indie rock, but also punk rock, experimental rock, alternative rock, and electronic acts. History Matador was created in 1989 by Chris Lombardi in his New York City apartment. Lombardi had brought the Austrian duo H.P. The album received widespread acclaim. "Harmonia's Dream" was nominated for Best Rock Song at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Recording ''I Don't Live Here Anymore'' was recorded at seven different studios over the course of three years. The album was co-produced by frontman Adam Granduciel and engineer Shawn Everett. The recording session, which took place over a two-year period, was characterized by numerous rewrites.
