Adam Fox (poet)
Adam Fox (1883–1977), Canon, was the Dean of Divinity at Magdalen College, Oxford. He was one of the first members of the literary group " Inklings". He was Oxford Professor of Poetry and later he became Canon of Westminster Abbey. He was also warden of Radley College. Biography He was headmaster of the Radley College (1918–1924). Between 1938 and 1942 he was Oxford Professor of Poetry. Later he became Canon of Westminster Abbey and he is buried there in Poets' Corner. During his time at Oxford, he wrote his long poem in four books " Old King Coel". It gets its name from King Cole, legendary British father of the Roman Empress Helena, the mother of the Emperor Constantine. As Professor of Poetry, Fox advocated poetry which is intelligible to readers, and gives enough pleasure to be read again. Adam Fox (professor)
Adam Fox is a paediatric allergy consultant and a child allergy specialist. He is President of the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and he won the Raymond Horton-Smith Prize in 2012 for his doctoral thesis. Education and career Fox read medicine and neuroscience at the University of Cambridge and completed his clinical training at University College London. Initially, Fox trained as a general paediatrician. However, he decided to specialise in paediatric allergies whilst doing his Master's in clinical paediatrics at Great Ormond St Hospital. Fox took a specialist registrar post at St Mary's Hospital, London, which at the time was the only dedicated paediatric allergy research centre. Here, he became further specialised as a tertiary paediatric allergist. Adam Fox (born February 17, 1998) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Fox was selected by the Calgary Flames, 66th overall, in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. In 2021, Fox won the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the NHL's best defenseman, joining Bobby Orr as the only two players in NHL history to win the award before their third NHL season. He played two seasons in the U.S. National Team Development Program, and finished with the record for the most assists in a single season (in 2015–16) and the most assists in a career (in 2014–16). He played collegiate ice hockey for Harvard University, leading all NCAA defensemen in the nation in assists and points in his freshman season, and leading all defensemen in the country in points per game and assists in his junior season.
