Adam Davies (snooker Player)
Adam Davies is an English former professional snooker player. He is the brother of fellow snooker player Alex Davies. Career Davies competed as an amateur in his early teens before reaching the last 32, at three Challenge Tour events in the 2003/2004 season. These performances, coupled with a run to the last 128 at the 2004 World Championship, earned him a place on the professional tour for the following two seasons. In his first season, as a professional, Davies won four matches, defeating Darren Morgan in the 2004 British Open, Paul Davies in the 2005 Welsh Open, Simon Bedford in the 2005 China Open and, latterly, the former world number six Mike Hallett 10–5 in the World Championship. However, he did not progress beyond the last 80 at any event, and earned no prize money. Alex Davies (snooker Player)
Alex Davies (born 27 July 1987) is an English former professional snooker player from Holland-on-Sea in Essex. He is the youngest person ever to win the English Amateur Championship, in 2003. Davies began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour in 2003, at the time the second-level professional tour. Davies was on the WPBSA Main Tour for the 2007–08 season, but dropped off. In May 2013, he returned to the main tour by winning five matches at the Q School event one concluding with a 4–1 win over Mitchell Travis to earn a place on the tour for the 2013–14 and 2014–15 season. Darren Morgan
Darren Morgan (born 3 May 1966) is a Welsh former professional snooker player who now competes as an amateur. Morgan won the World Amateur Championship in 1987 and played on the professional main tour from 1988 until 2006. He earned just over £1 million in prize money, reached a high ranking of eight, and was ranked within the top 16 for six years despite never winning a ranking event. He compiled 111 in his career. Paul Davies (snooker Player)
Paul Davies (born 22 June 1970) is a Welsh former professional snooker player who lives in Cardiff. He turned professional in 1991. Initially based in Hampshire, Davies began his career in which he was mentored by a local amateur snooker player by the name of Bert Garland who died in 1996. Paul now owns his snooker cue. Simon Bedford
Simon Bedford (born 8 February 1976) is an English former professional snooker player. Career Bedford's best performance in a professional ranking event was to qualify for the 1998 World Championship; he beat Gary Wilkinson 10–9, before losing 10–6 to Steve Davis. He also reached the last 32 of the European Open in 2004 and the Grand Prix in 2008, beating two-time World Champion Mark Williams en route. Mike Hallett
Mike Hallett (born 6 July 1959) is an English former professional snooker player and commentator. Career Hallett was born in Grimsby on 6 July 1959. Having won the national under-16 title in 1975, he turned professional in 1979. His world ranking peaked at number six in 1989–90, after his only ranking tournament victory at the 1989 Hong Kong Open in which he beat Dene O'Kane 9–8. In a semi-final match against John Parrott in the 1988 Benson & Hedges Masters, he recovered from needing four snookers to win the decider 6–5. However, he lost 9–0 to Steve Davis in the final, the only whitewash in the Masters final. Bjorn Haneveer
Bjorn Haneveer (born 4 September 1976 in) is a Belgian snooker player and commentator. Haneveer, formerly a professional competitor, now plays at semi-professional level and also commentates on snooker matches for Dutch Eurosport. Career A six-time Belgian snooker champion (last title won in May 2007 vs Patrick Delsemme), Haneveer lost in the final of the European Championship in Scotland in June, 2000. Justin Astley (born 20 May 1983) is an English former professional snooker player. He played on Challenge Tour in 2001/02, and first qualified for the Main Tour in 2002/03, but lost his place. Then he played on Challenge Tour again from 2003 to 2005. He returned for the 2005/2006 season, but he couldn't defend his place. Mark Allen (born 22 February 1986) is a Northern Irish professional snooker player from Antrim. He won the World Amateur Championship in 2004, turned professional the following year, and took only three seasons to reach the top 16.
