Adam Broomberg
Adam Broomberg (born 1970) and Oliver Chanarin (born 1971) are artists living and working in London. Together they have had numerous international exhibitions. Their work is represented in major public and private collections. They were awarded the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize for their book ''War Primer 2'', described as a "book that physically inhabits the pages of Bertolt Brecht's remarkable 1955 publication ''War Primer''." They were awarded the International Center of Photography Infinity Award for their publication, ''Holy Bible''. Broomberg and Chanarin founded the imprint ''Chopped Liver Press'' to publish and sell their own books as well as those by other artists. Foam or Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam is a photography museum located at the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The museum has four different exhibitions at any given time in which different photographic genres are shown, such as documentary, art and fashion. Next to large exhibitions by well-known photographers, Foam also shows the work of young and upcoming photographers, in shorter running exhibitions. Mostyn is a public art gallery in Llandudno, North Wales. It was previously called Oriel Mostyn ('Oriel' is Welsh for 'Gallery') but was rebranded as simply Mostyn following its 2010 revamp. Background The roots of the gallery started with a Miss Clarence Whaite (daughter of the president of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art), who in 1894 set up a meeting of 'lady artistes' at the 'Round room' in Conwy, after an agreement of a name for Miss Whaite's new Society; 'The Gwynedd Ladies' Art Society', Lady Augusta Mostyn, who presided at the meeting was the first to donate £2.2s (~£1500 in 2019 after inflation) which made her the founding member.
