Adam Berger
Adam Berger (born June 28, 1990) is a former Canadian football defensive back. He is a two time Grey Cup champion, having won in 2014 and 2018 with the Calgary Stampeders. Early career Berger played high school football at Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School as a quarterback. In 2007, he was named the province's Player of the Year. He played college football for the Simon Fraser Clan from 2008 to 2012. Berger was a medical redshirt in 2008 and played only one game in 2009. In 29 games from 2010 to 2012, he recorded 117 total tackles, eight interceptions including three touchdowns, and two forced fumbles. During his final year, he also contributed as a kicker. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The 2012 CFL Draft took place on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 3:00 PM ET on TSN. 45 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. The Calgary Stampeders had the most selections with eight, while Hamilton had seven picks. The Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes each had six and the Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers had five picks.
