Adam Alexander Armstrong, OBE, MC (1 July 1909 – 22 February 1982), commonly known as Bill Armstrong, was an Australian politician. Born in Deniliquin, New South Wales, he was a grazier before serving in the military 1939–45 (during World War II). Subsequently, he became involved in local politics, serving on Conargo Shire Council. In 1965 he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives in the by-election for the seat of Riverina that followed the resignation of Hugh Roberton Hugh Stevenson Roberton (18 December 1900 – 13 March 1987) was an Australian politician. Adam James Armstrong (born 10 February 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Southampton. Club career Newcastle United A lifelong Newcastle fan, Armstrong joined the club at the age of nine and progressed through the ranks, scoring five times in his first five Professional Development League matches. Armstrong was named among Newcastle's substitutes for the first time on 28 January 2014 for a Premier League game against Norwich City, remaining unused in the goalless draw at Carrow Road. Adam Armstrong (rugby Union)
Adam Loftus Armstrong (13 April 1878 – 30 January 1959) was a New Zealand rugby union player. A wing-forward, Armstrong represented Wairarapa at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1903. He played five matches for the All Blacks but did not appear in any internationals. After retiring as a player, Armstrong went on to referee to provincial level. Following the death of Donald Watson in 1958, Armstrong was the oldest living All Black.
