Ad Swigler
Adam William "Ad" Swigler (September 21, 1895 – February 5, 1975), nicknamed "Doc", was an American professional baseball pitcher. Swigler played for the New York Giants in the season. In 1 career game, he had a 0-1 record, with a 6.00 ERA. He batted and threw right-handed. Due to an arm injury, he did not return to professional baseball, but did continue to play semi-professional ball. He was an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk.
