Angelo Acerbi (born 23 September 1925) is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church, who has been an archbishop since 1974 and served in the diplomatic service of the Holy See as the Apostolic Nuncio to New Zealand, the Netherlands, Colombia, Hungary, and Moldova. Biography Angelo Acerbi was born in Sesta Godano on 23 September 1925. On 27 March 1948, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of La Spezia. After earning a degree in canon law, he obtained his license in theology. Having completed the course of study at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in 1954, he entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He worked in the nunciatures in Colombia, Brazil, Japan and France, as well as in the International Relations Department of the Holy See's Secretariat of State. Francesco Acerbi (born 10 February 1988) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Inter Milan, on loan from Lazio, and the Italy national team. Until the age of 22, Acerbi played only in the lower tiers of Italian football, before being purchased by the Serie B club Reggina, where he established himself as a starting lineup defender. In 2011, Acerbi signed with Chievo Verona, thus making his Serie A debut. Despite being used only sporadically, Acerbi managed to draw the attention of A.C. Milan, who signed him the next summer. Giuseppe Acerbi (May 3, 1773August 25, 1846) was an Italian naturalist, explorer and composer. Biography Giuseppe Acerbi was born on May 3, 1773, in Castel Goffredo, in Lombardy. He was an Italian naturalist, explorer and composer. In 1798, Acerbi traveled to Lapland, publishing his experiences in ''Travels through Sweden, Finland and Lapland to the North Cape in the years 1798 and 1799'' (1802). Some of his works can be found in the New York Society Library in New York, New York. He also written other works along with compositions that became popular. During his travels, he collected some Finnish folk melodies and religious songs, one of which he used in a Clarinet Concerto. This was the first Finnish melody to be used in serious music. Mario Acerbi (painter)
Mario Acerbi (1887–1982) was an Italian painter. Biography Acerbi was born in Milan. He attended the municipal school of painting in Pavia from 1900 to 1909 as a pupil of Carlo Sara, Romeo Borgognoni and Giorgio Kienerk, and was awarded the Lauzi Prize in 1907 and the Frank Prize (subsequently revoked due to a procedural error) in 1910. The artist's father Ezechiele, a well-known landscape painter and leading figure in the artistic circles of Pavia, played a crucial part in his training as a naturalistic painter. Acerbi took part in exhibitions in Turin and Milan as from 1908 with a repertoire of landscapes, portraits and flower paintings based on his father's more commercially successful models. Acerbi distinguished himself as a portrait painter with a clientele in Milan and Pavia, and received official commissions for history paintings and religious frescoes from various bodies in the Lombardy region. Paolo Domenico Acerbis (born 5 May 1981) is an Italian footballer, who plays as a goalkeeper for Eccellenza club S.S.D. Mapello. He also played for professional club Livorno in Serie A, as well as AlbinoLeffe, Triestina, Catania and Vicenza. He was suspended from 2012 to 2014. Since January 2015 Acerbis had played for several non fully professional clubs in Serie D and in Eccellenza Lombardy.
