''Actor'' is a 2016 Indian Kannada psychological thriller film written, produced by KM Veeresh and co-produced and directed by Dayal Padmanabhan. The film features Naveen Krishna and Sihikahi Geetha as the only two characters appearing on screen. K. M. Veeresh has produced the film for Chitraloka Movies banner. The film re-collaborates director Dayal with actor Naveen after their critically acclaimed previous venture ''Haggada Kone''. The film's uniqueness is that it is shot at a single location for a stretch of 100minutes involving only two characters. The plot revolves around a successful movie star (Naveen Krishna) whose success rate falls down over a period of time and he gets into a trauma only to be consoled by his home-maid (Geetha) who recites him the stories of her own experience. Dayal Padmanabhan is a noted Indian film writer, director and producer, mainly working in Kannada cinema who is a two times Karnataka State award winner. Most of his films are experimental in the genre of Rom-Com and Thriller. Naveen Krishna
Naveen Krishna is an Indian actor, director and writer based in Kannada Film Industry. After having starred in many films as a child actor, he made his adult debut in the film ''Shrirasthu Shubhamasthu'' (2000) and has since then acted in various films, mostly in supporting roles, in films such as '' Kadamba'' (2004), ''Nenapirali'' (2005), ''Dheemaku'' (2008) and '' Mathond Madhuvena'' (2011). ''Haggada Kone'' ( en, End of the Rope) is a 2014 Indian Kannada language crime-drama film directed by Dayal Padmanabhan and stars Naveen Krishna in the lead role. The film is a modern-day adaptation of a play of the same name written by Parvathavani, and features Krishna as Channa, a prisoner awaiting his execution. Jadalathimmanahalli Krishnappa Srinivasa Murthy (born 15 May 1949), known popularly as Srinivasa Murthy, is an Indian actor and television director.
