Acting Good
''Acting Good'' is a Canadian television comedy series, which premiered October 17, 2022 on CTV Comedy Channel. The series stars comedian Paul Rabliauskas as a young First Nations man who returns home to live in his small reserve community in northern Manitoba following a failed attempt to establish himself in Winnipeg. The series is loosely based around his own experiences having to move back home to live with his family during the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The cast also includes Pat Thornton, Billy Merasty, Roseanne Supernault, Tina Keeper and Rosanna Deerchild. Roseanne Supernault
Roseanne Supernault is a Canadian film and television actress, best known for her roles as Natalie Stoney in the television series '' Blackstone'' and as the title character in the 2013 film ''Maïna''. Originally from East Prairie, Alberta, she is of Métis and Cree descent. Career Supernault won the Best Actress Award at the 2013 American Indian Film Festival for her performance in ''Maïna''. Michael Greyeyes (born June 4, 1967) (Muskeg Lake Cree Nation) is an Indigenous Canadian actor, dancer, choreographer, director, and educator. In 1996, Greyeyes portrayed Crazy Horse in the television film ''Crazy Horse''. In 2018, Greyeyes portrayed Sitting Bull in ''Woman Walks Ahead'' to critical acclaim. He has also had TV roles on '' Fear the Walking Dead'', ''True Detective'' and ''I Know This Much Is True''. In 2021–2022, he had a main role in the sitcom ''Rutherford Falls''. Rosanna Deerchild is a Canadian Cree writer, poet and radio host. She is best known as host of the radio program ''Unreserved'' on CBC Radio One, a show that shares the music, cultures, and stories from indigenous people across Canada, from 2014 to 2020. With CBC Radio One, she has hosted two other shows; The (204) and the Weekend Morning Show. She has also appeared on CBC Radio's DNTO. She has been on various other media networks: APTN, Global Television Network, and Native Communications (NCI-FM). Billy Merasty
Billy Merasty (born 1960) is an Aboriginal Canadian actor and writer of Cree descent. Early life Merasty was born in Brochet, Manitoba, Canada. He is the ninth of fourteen siblings born to Viola and Pierre Merasty, and a grandson of Joe Highway, a famous caribou hunter and champion dogsled racer; and related to playwright Tomson Highway and dancer, choreographer, actor, and director René Highway. Career Merasty moved to Toronto at the age of 18 in search of René Highway, who was then working for the Toronto Dance Theatre. At the age of 23, he launched his acting career after graduating from the Centre for Indigenous Theatre for aspiring First Nations artists.
