Acheron Boys Home
Acheron Youth Camp, an Australian minimum security training facility for juvenile males, is located in Buxton, Victoria, Australia, approximately north–east of Melbourne. The facility is operated by Youth Justice Custodial Services, an agency of the Department of Justice of the Victorian Government. Buxton, Victoria
Buxton is a town north-east of Melbourne in the Australian state of Victoria. At the 2016 census, Buxton had a population of 233. The district around Buxton was significantly impacted by the Black Saturday bushfires. It was isolated for several days with no telephone or power. Today Buxton remains a small township with a roadhouse, a post office, general store, a fishing and outdoors store, Salmon and Trout Farm, hotel, a town hall, a primary school, nursery and several bed and breakfasts. Facilities Buxton has an active Country Fire Authority station with one medium and one light tanker. The Buxton Fire Brigade was formed in 1943 and officially recognised on 25 February 1944. Melbourne Youth Justice Centre (formerly Melbourne Juvenile Justice Centre and Turana Youth Training Centre) is a youth corrections facility located in Parkville, Victoria, Australia. Kangan Institute is a TAFE (technical and further education) provider in Melbourne, Australia. History Kangan Institute was established as the Broadmeadows College of TAFE on 28 February 1986, when it was formally opened by Prime Minister Bob Hawke. It was originally built to cater for 3000 students at a cost of $13.5 million.
