Achaiki Football Club ( el, Αχαϊκή Α.Ε.) is a Greek football club based in Kato Achaia, Achaea, Greece. The club was founded as an independent club in 1920 and dissolved in 1936. It we re-founded in 1945. The highest category team reached was Football League in 1981-82 and 1982–83 seasons. Achaea Football Clubs Association ( el, Ένωση Ποδοσφαιρικών Σωματείων Αχαΐας) is one of the oldest Greek amateur football clubs associations, representing teams from the Greek regional unit of Achaea. History It was founded in 1927 in Patras. Members included teams from the prefectures of Aetolia-Acarnania, Elis, Kefalonia and Zakynthos. Aetolia-Acarnania established its own association in 1969, Elis and Zakynthos in 1971, and in 1975 Kefalonia (as Kefalonia and Ithaca Football Clubs Association). The Gamma Ethniki ( el, Γ΄ Εθνική Ερασιτεχνική Κατηγορία, C National Amateur Division) is the third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. Although not literally national (it is divided into ''North'' and ''South'' groups), Football League 2 is considered as a national division. On 3 August 2010, it was announced that the division had been renamed ''Football League 2''. From season 2013–14, the football League 2 is merged by fourth division championship (Delta Ethniki) and renamed again Gamma Ethniki. The new third division will be held in six groups, with the clubs divided basis of geographical criteria, while it will return in an amateur form. Dymi ( el, Δύμη) is a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality West Achaea, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 71.553 km2. Its seat of administration was the town of Kato Achaia. It is located 20 km southwest of Patras. Achaea
Achaea () or Achaia (), sometimes transliterated from Greek as Akhaia (, ''Akhaïa'' ), is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Western Greece and is situated in the northwestern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. The capital is Patras which is the third largest city in Greece. Geography Achaea is bordered by Elis to the west and southwest, Arcadia to the south, and Corinthia to the east and southeast. The Gulf of Corinth lies to its northeast, and the Gulf of Patras to its northwest. The mountain Panachaiko (1926 m), though not the highest of Achaea, dominates the coastal area near Patras. Higher mountains are found in the south, such as Aroania (2341 m) and Erymanthos (2224 m). Other mountain ranges in Achaea are Skollis, Omplos, Kombovouni and Movri.
