Abul Kalam Azad (officer)
Abul Kalam Azad (30 October 1971 – 31 March 2017) was a lieutenant colonel of Bangladesh Army. He served as Director of Intelligence of Rapid Action Battalion. Early life and education Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, was born on 30 October 1971 in Shibganj of Chapai Nawabganj district. He completed MA in English from National University. Career In Army Abul Kalam Azad was commissioned in the East Bengal Regiment after passing the 34th BMA long course on June 7, 1996. During his time in the army he served in different posts including IO, Adjutant and Quartermaster with the 6th East Bengal Regiment. He also worked in different important posts at the army headquarters, administrative office, 1st Para Commando Battalion and 19th East Bengal Regiment. Chapai Nawabganj District
Chapainawabganj (Bengali: চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ) is located in the north-western part of Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rajshahi Division, and was formerly a sub-division of Malda district. The north and west part of Chapai Nawabganj is bounded by Malda and Murshidabad districts of India, the east by Naogaon District, and south-east by Rajshahi District. 1st Para-Commando Battalion
The Para Commando Brigade ( bn, :bn:প্যারা কমান্ডো ব্রিগেড (বাংলাদেশ), প্যারা কমান্ডো ব্রিগেড) is a special forces, special operations force of the Bangladesh Army. This special forces brigade is headquartered at Sylhet and is composed of two Para Commando battalions. The involvement of special operations units in Bangladesh Armed Forces was initiated by the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Mount Elizabeth Hospital, known colloquially as Mount E, is a 345-bed private hospital in Singapore operated by Parkway Health. Construction began in 1976 and the hospital officially opened on 8 December 1979. The hospital specialises in cardiology, oncology, and neuroscience, among other tertiary services.
