Abnormal (Bumblefoot Album)
''Abnormal'' is the seventh studio album by recording artist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, released in July 2008. ''Abnormal'' is Thal's first solo release as a member of Guns N' Roses. Thal described ''Abnormal'' as "..a continuation of a very personal tale. If '' Normal'' was the first chapter, then ''Abnormal'' is the second chapter of the same book. It's a tale of how my life has been 3 years after ''Normal'', after touring with Guns N' Roses and verything else. The songs "Abnormal", "Glad to Be Here" and "Objectify" were performed by Thal as solo spots in Guns N' Roses concerts. "Objectify" was featured as Thal's solo in ''Appetite for Democracy 3D''. Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal
Ronald Jay Blumenthal (born September 25, 1969), better known by his stage name Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal or just simply as Bumblefoot, is an American guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He adopted his nickname from the bacterial infection of the same name, which he learned about while helping his wife study for her veterinary exams. The name went from being just the name of an album, to the name of a record label, to a band name, to eventually his name as a solo artist. He was one of two lead guitarists in Guns N' Roses from 2006 until 2014 and performed on their sixth studio album '' Chinese Democracy''. He is currently the guitarist for the supergroup Sons of Apollo and served as the guitarist and vocalist for the band Asia from 2019 to 2022. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, monumental sound characterized by distortion (music), distorted guitars, extended guitar solos, emphatic Beat (music), beats and loudness. Grunge
Grunge (sometimes referred to as the Seattle sound) is an alternative rock genre and subculture that emerged during the in the American Pacific Northwest state of Washington, particularly in Seattle and nearby towns. Grunge fuses elements of punk rock and heavy metal, but without punk's structure and speed. The genre featured the distorted electric guitar sound used in both genres, although some bands performed with more emphasis on one or the other. Like these genres, grunge typically uses electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals. Grunge also incorporates influences from indie rock bands such as Sonic Youth. Lyrics are typically angst-filled and introspective, often addressing themes such as social alienation, self-doubt, abuse, neglect, betrayal, social and emotional isolation, addiction, psychological trauma and a desire for freedom. Appetite For Democracy 3D
''Appetite for Democracy 3D'' is a live concert film released in Cinemas, Broadcast and BD/DVD by Guns N' Roses, filmed live at The Joint at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas on November 21, 2012, on the tenth night of their residency, as part of the Appetite for Democracy tour in celebration of twenty-five years of ''Appetite for Destruction'' and four years of '' Chinese Democracy''. This is the first live DVD release of Guns N' Roses since ''Use Your Illusion I'' and '' Use Your Illusion II'' in 1992. The show was filmed entirely in 3D and was produced by Barry Summers from Rock Fuel Media. The cover art features part of the original banned cover art from Appetite For Destruction. The album was officially revealed on May 29, 2014. The DVD sold 4,800 copies in the United States its first week. Dennis Leeflang
Dennis Leeflang (born 22 May 1979, Leiderdorp) is a Dutch rock drummer, currently living in Los Angeles. He is best known for his work with Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal History Leeflang started playing the drums at age 13, playing along with records of bands such as Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, Metallica and Iron Maiden. He started playing with local hard rock bands. In 1996, he joined Dutch gothic rock band Within Temptation at age 17 as their first official drummer. Leeflang played with various other Dutch rock and metal bands between 1997 and 2004, with one notable band being the Saturnine, before relocating from the Netherlands to New York City, shortly after having departed his band Sun Caged, of which he was a founding member. In 2006, Leeflang rejoined the Saturnine as an inter-continental recording project with occasional live performances in Europe.
