Raul Khajimba
Raul Jumkovich Khajimba ( ab, Рауль Џьумка-иҧа Ҳаџьымба, ka, რაულ ჯუმკას-ძე ჰაჯიმბა; born 21 March 1958) is an Abkhazian politician, and served as President of Abkhazia from 25 September 2014 until 12 January 2020. He was also Chairman of the Forum for the National Unity of Abkhazia from 2010 to 2015. Khajimba previously held the offices of Vice President (2005–2009), Prime Minister (2003–2004) and Defence Minister (2002–2003). He unsuccessfully ran for President in 2004, 2009 and 2011. He resigned the presidency in 2020 due to protests against him. Leonid Yurivich Dzapshba ( ab, Леонид Иури-иҧа Ӡаҧшьба; born January 1, 1961) is a two-time Minister for Internal Affairs of Abkhazia, a former Presidential candidate and the former head of the Football Federation of Abkhazia. Early life Dzapshba was born on 1 January 1961 in the village of Barmysh, Gudauta District. He attended high school in Bambora and graduated in 1975. From 1979 until 1981, Dzapshba served in the Soviet Army. He then studied at the police school in Cheboksary until 1993, when he entered the police department in Tomsk, serving in different positions until 1991. Otar Mikhailovich Khetsia (russian: Отар Михайлович Хеция; born 19 February 1965) has twice been Minister of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia. Career Otar Khetsia was first appointed Interior Minister after the election of President Sergei Bagapsh in 2005. On 12 August 2010, Otar Khetsia was dismissed as Interior Minister and on 18 August, appointed Secretary of the State Security Council. Raul Lolua (russian: Рауль Валериевич Лолуа) is a former Minister for Internal Affairs of Abkhazia. Following the May 2014 Revolution, Lolua, previously Head of the State Security Service's Special Forces Centre, was appointed First Deputy Minister for Internal Affairs on 9 June 2014 and charged with carrying out the duties of Minister Otar Khetsia, who was (put) on paid leave.
