Nicolai Abildgaard
Nicolai Abraham Abildgaard (11 September 1743 – 4 June 1809) was a Danish neoclassical and royal history painter, sculptor, architect, and professor of painting, mythology, and anatomy at the New Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen, Denmark. Many of his works were in the royal Christiansborg Palace (some destroyed by fire 1794), Fredensborg Palace, and Levetzau Palace at Amalienborg. Biography Nicolai Abraham Abildgaard was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, as the son of Anne Margrethe (née Bastholm) and Søren Abildgaard, a noted antiquarian draughtsman. Abildgaard was trained by a painting master before he joined the Royal Danish Academy of Art (''Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi'') in Copenhagen, where he studied under the guidance of Johan Edvard Mandelberg and Johannes Wiedewelt. Oliver Abildgaard
Oliver Abildgaard Nielsen (born 10 June 1996) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Italian Serie A club Hellas Verona, on loan from the Russian club Rubin Kazan. Club career AaB Abildgaard was promoted to AaB's first team squad in the summer of 2015 along with Jannik Pohl from the AaB U19 squad. On 20 July 2015, he made his first team-debut against Esbjerg at the age of 19. He was in the starting lineup and was responsible for a penalty that gave Esbjerg the lead, but he also scored the equalizing goal. The match ended 1–1. On 9 September 2015, he made his Danish Cup debut when he was in the line-up against the local rivals from Vendsyssel FF. Søren Abildgaard
Søren Pedersen Abildgaard (18 February 1718 – 2 July 1791) was a Danish naturalist, writer and illustrator. He was born in Flekkefjord in Norway and died in Copenhagen in Denmark. Abildgaard traveled throughout Denmark in order to create drawings of its tombstones, runes and other historic monuments.
