Abhinn Shyam Gupta (born 22 October 1979 in Allahabad) is a male badminton player from India. Presently he lives in City of Allahabad and is a former national champion in singles. Aamir Ghaffar (born 18 August 1979 in Peshawar) is a Pakistani badminton player who competed professionally for England. He is most famous for winning the Canadian Open (badminton), Canadian Open in 2004 and the men's singles title at the English National Badminton Championship in 2004 and 2005 and reached the final in 2008. His notable achievements are his victories over 2004 Olympic silver medalist Shon Seung Mo of Korea at the World Championships 2005 in California, World No. 5 Bao Chunlai at the All England Open 2004 and World No. 8 Dicky Palyama at All England Open 2005. The Kenya International is an annual open international badminton tournament held in Kenya. This tournament organized by the Kenya Badminton Association, with the sanctioned by the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) and Badminton World Federation (BWF). History In 1965, badminton is already played by the Kenyan people, when the Kenya Gazette implied the change of the name of Nairobi Badminton Association to Kenya Badminton Association. Nikhil Kanetkar (born 13 May 1979) is the only Olympic badminton player from Pune India. Born in a Maharashtrian family, Kanetkar played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in men's singles, defeating Sergio Llopis of Spain in the first round. In the round of 16, Kanetkar was defeated by Peter Gade of Denmark. In addition to Olympics, Kanetkar has represented India in the Thomas Cup, All England Open, Asian Games, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, SAF Games, Swiss Open, French Open, Toulouse Open and numerous other championships. In 2011, he retired from competitive sports and set up Nikhil Kanetkar Badminton Academy (NKBA, www.nkba.in) in Pune, India.
