Abhinav Kashyap
Abhinav Singh Kashyap (born 6 September 1974) is an Indian director, writer and actor who works predominantly in Hindi Cinema. He is the younger brother of noted director Anurag Kashyap. He is best known for directing and co writing ''Dabangg'' (2010) and '' Besharam'' (2013), the former one earned him a nomination in Filmfare Awards in the category of Best Director in 2011. Before entering into the film industry, Abhinav has worked in some television serials as a director such as ''Darr'' (1995), '' Ssshhhh...Koi Hai'' (2001), ''Siddhant'' (2004) and ''Shakira – The End Of Evil'' (2007). Anurag Kashyap (director)
Anurag Kashyap (born 10 September 1972) is an Indian filmmaker and actor known for his works in Hindi cinema. He is the recipient of several accolades, including four Filmfare Awards. For his contributions to film, the Government of France awarded him the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and letters) in 2013. After writing a television serial, Kashyap got his major break as a co-writer in Ram Gopal Varma's crime drama '' Satya'' (1998) and made his directorial debut with ''Paanch'', which never had a theatrical release due to censorship issues. ''Paanch'' (English: ''Five'') is a 2003 Indian crime thriller film written and directed by Anurag Kashyap in his directing debut, starring Kay Kay Menon, Aditya Srivastava, Vijay Maurya, Joy Fernandes and Tejaswini Kolhapure. The film is "loosely" based on the 1976–77 Joshi-Abhyankar serial murders in Pune. The film never got a theatrical or home-video release. The Central Board of Film Certification objected to the film's violence, the depiction of drug abuse and bad language. After some cuts, the film was cleared in 2003. However, it could not be released as the producer faced problems. It then was made available through torrent websites. The film was later screened in several film festivals.
