Abdullah Rahi
Abdullah Rahi (born 1938), is a Pakistani former Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward. Abdullah represented the Pakistan national football team in the 1960s, and was member of the national squad which finished finalists at the 1962 Merdeka Tournament. Early life Abdullah was born in the Lyari locality of Karachi in British India. Club career Like several notable players of West Pakistan, Abdullah represented several clubs in East Pakistan at the Dhaka League. With Victoria Sporting Club, Victoria SC, Abdullah scored one of the goals at the 1962 Aga Khan Gold Cup final 5–1 victory against South Korea national under-23 football team, Young Taegeuk FA. The next year, he represented Dhaka Wanderers as a guest player and helped the side finish runner-up at the Aga Khan Gold Cup. Merdeka Tournament or Pestabola Merdeka is a friendly football tournament held in Malaysia to commemorate the Independence Day. The competition bears the Malay word for independence. As of 2022, it has been held 40 times, and decreasingly in recent decades. Matches in Merdeka tournament considered International "A" matches (Friendly match) by FIFA. Its final has been mainly held at Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. The Colombo Cup was an annual football tournament first held in Colombo, Ceylon. It was also known as Asian Quadrangular Football Tournament.
