Abdul Rahman Mohamed Yassin
Dato' Haji Abdul Rahman bin Mohamed Yassin (19 November 1891 – 24 May 1970) was a Malaysian politician who served as the 1st President of the Dewan Negara from 11 September 1959 until his retirement on 31 December 1968. His son, Ismail Abdul Rahman was the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia (1970–1973). The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Ismail Nasiruddin Of Terengganu
Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Zainal Abidin III Mu’azzam Shah ( Jawi: ; 27 January 1907 – 20 September 1979) was the fourth Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and the sixteenth Sultan of Terengganu. Early career The date of his birth has been given as either 16 March 1906 or as 24 January 1907, the latter being the one more often used. Born in Kuala Terengganu, he was the fifth, but third surviving, son of Sultan Zainal Abidin III ibni Sultan Ahmad II (reigned 1881–1918). His mother was a Thai Muslim convert, ''Cik'' Maimuna binti Abdullah, who died in 1918. Educated at the Kuala Terengganu Malay School, he then went to the Malay College. Kluang
Kluang ( Jawi: كلواڠ), formerly Keluang, is a town in Kluang District, Johor, Malaysia. Kluang was founded in 1915 as the administrative capital of central Johor by the British. It is located in the centre of the state and is within 90 minutes of all major urban areas of Johor. Kluang, combined with Batu Pahat, encompasses central Johor with a market catchment of over 700,000. The President of the Senate ( ms, Yang di-Pertua Dewan Negara) is the presiding officer or speaker of the Dewan Negara, the upper house of the Parliament of Malaysia. The President of the Senate is created under Article 56 of the Constitution of Malaysia. The office is similar to the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat: the president is elected by the members of the Senate and is expected to be politically impartial. If a member of the Dewan Negara is elected as the president and is a member of a state legislative assembly, he must resign from the assembly before exercising the functions of the office. Yahya bin Awang (born 7 September 1950) is a Malaysian cardiothoracic surgeon; born to the former state governor (Yang di-Pertua Negeri) of Pulau Pinang from 1981 to 1989, Tun Dr. Awang Hassan and Toh Puan Khadijah Abdul Rahman, sister of Tun Dr. Ismail Abdul Rahman, the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. Abu Bakar bin Suleiman (born 4 February 1944) is a Malaysian physician, academic administrator, business executive and former civil servant. He is currently chairman of IHH Healthcare, Asia's largest private healthcare group, and president of the IMU Group, the parent company of the International Medical University in Kuala Lumpur. He served as vice-chancellor (president) of the International Medical University from 2001 to 2015. From 1991 to 1999, Abu Bakar served as Director-General in the Malaysian Ministry of Health. Tun Dr. Awang bin Hassan ( ms, اواڠ بن حسن, label= Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset; 9 November 1910 – 12 September 1998) was a Malaysian politician who served as the 5th Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Penang from 1981 until his retirement in 1989. He had previously served as the 7th Malaysian High Commissioner to Australia from 1973 to 1980. Education He received his early education at Sekolah Bukit Zahrah in Johor Bahru and later at the English College Johore Bahru. Awang began attendance at the King Edward VII College of Medicine (now the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore) and graduated with a Licentiate in Medicine and Surgery (LMS) in 1934.
