Abdul Qayoom (cricketer)
Abdul Qayoom Bagaw (born 2 March 1967) is an Indian former first-class cricketer who played for Jammu and Kashmir. Qayoom was regarded as the finest fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir. He worked as a coach for the state association after his playing career. Life and career Qayoom started playing cricket as a wicket-keeper, before he became a fast bowler in 1982–83. He was a science graduate from the Bijbehara Degree College who later worked for Air India. He played for Air India cricket team and made his first-class debut for Jammu and Kashmir in 1985/86. In the 1989–90 Ranji Trophy, he was the third-highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 29 scalps. He made his List A debut for Wills XI in the Wills Trophy in 1990. Anantnag
Anantnag (/ə'nʌntna:g/ or /-nɑːg/ ), also called Islamabad, is the administrative headquarters of the Anantnag district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir. It is located at a distance of 53 kilometres (33 miles) from the union territory's capital Srinagar. It is the third largest city in Jammu and Kashmir after Srinagar and Jammu with an urban agglomerate population of 159,838 and municipal limit population of 109,433. Name The town has been called by both the names Islamabad and Anantnag. The latter is characterised by Marc Aurel Stein as its "Hindu name". Wills Trophy
The Wills One-Day Trophy (named after sponsor Wills of ITC Limited), commonly referred to as the Wills Trophy, was an Indian List A cricket tournament organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Established in the 1977–78 season, it was played to find the best limited overs side of the domestic season as only the Ranji Trophy had inter-zonal finals. The annual tournament was played between seven sides, the five zonal winners and two composite teams, Wills XI (named after the title sponsor) and Indian Board President XI. Till the 1992–93 season, the team finishing first in each Zone of the Ranji Trophy qualified to play this tournament. Parvez Rasool
Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar (born 13 February 1989) is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for Jammu and Kashmir. A right-hand batsman and offbreak bowler, Rasool is the captain of the Jammu and Kashmir team and a regular member of India A. He was bought for by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2014 IPL auction. Rasool was the first cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to have played in The IPL and also the first from the state to play for the Indian National Team in ODI's and T20I's. He played only 1 T20I and 1 ODI in his international career. Rasool received his maiden call-up for the national team in 2013 for the Zimbabwe tour. Bishen Singh Bedi
Bishan Singh Bedi (; born 25 September 1946) is a former Indian cricketer who was primarily a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He played Test cricket for India from 1966 to 1979 and formed part of the famous Indian spin quartet. He played a total of 67 Tests and took 266 wickets. He also captained the national side in 22 Test matches. Bedi wore a colourful patka and has voiced outspoken and forthright views on cricketing matters. He was awarded the Padma Shri award in 1970. Playing career In Indian domestic cricket, Bedi first played for Northern Punjab when only fifteen, having taken up cricket only two years previously, a particularly late age for this sport.
