Abdul Hafeez (cricketer)
Abdul Hafeez (born 21 March 1977) is a former first-class English cricketer: an opening batsman and occasional medium-pace bowler who had a brief county cricket career with Worcestershire. He was born in Moseley, Birmingham. Hafeez made his debut for Warwickshire's Second XI in 1996, having progressed through the age-groups from under-14 level. He impressed on debut, scoring an unbeaten 52*. He was part of the Second XI Championship winning side that year, and despite scoring 408 runs at an average of 40.1, was not provided with any further opportunities. Nevertheless, Hafeez caught the eye of neighbours Worcestershire in 1997 after having scored over 750 runs for Moseley Cricket Club's First XI in the Birmingham and District Premier League that summer. He made his first-class debut in April 1998 against Essex at New Road. Moseley
Moseley is a suburb of south Birmingham, England, south of the city centre. The area is a popular cosmopolitan residential location and leisure destination, with a number of bars and restaurants. Jonathan Lewis (born 26 August 1975) is a former England cricketer and current Head Coach of England Women's Cricket. He was brought up in Swindon where he was educated at Churchfields School and Swindon College. He played for Swindon CC and, in Minor Counties cricket, for Wiltshire County Cricket Club in 1993. He joined Northamptonshire in 1994 and played for its Second XI but returned to Wiltshire in 1995. In the same year, he joined Gloucestershire and made his first-class debut. He has played for the English cricket team in Twenty20, One Day International and Test matches. He was appointed Gloucestershire captain in 2006. In 2005, Lewis was included in the England squad for the two Tests against Bangladesh, but did not play in either match. Kidderminster Victoria Cricket Club
Kidderminster Cricket Club is a cricket club in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England. Their 1st and 2nd XIs currently play in the Birmingham and District Premier League Premier Division. Their 3rd, 4th and 5th XIs play in the Worcestershire County Cricket League. The club play their home games at Chester Road, a venue which has also hosted Worcestershire County Cricket Club matches. The Friends Provident Trophy was a one-day cricket competition in the United Kingdom. It was one of the four tournaments in which the eighteen first-class counties competed each season. They were joined by teams from Scotland and Ireland. Lancashire won the title a record seven times. The National Counties Cricket Association Knockout Cup was started in 1983 as a knockout one-day competition for the National Counties in English cricket.
