Abdul-Malik Abu
Abdul-Malik Abu (born September 16, 1995), is a Nigerian American professional basketball player for Hapoel Galil Elyon of the Israeli Premier League. High school career Abu first attended Marblehead High School in Marblehead, Massachusetts before transferred to Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, New Hampshire to play for coach Mike Olson. As a senior, he averaged 24.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while leading Kimball to a (61–21) overall record and was named NEPSAC Player of the year in 2014. Considered a four-star recruit, Abu was ranked 32nd in the ESPN 100 for the class of 2014. On September 7, 2013, Abu committed to NC State University to play college basketball. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season.
