Abdelkarim Hassan
Abdelkarim Hassan Al Haj Fadlalla ( ar, عبد الكريم حسن; born 28 August 1993) is a Qatari professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Kuwaiti Premier League club Al-Jahra and the Qatar national team. Abdelkarim won the Asian Footballer of the Year award in 2018. Club career Abdelkarim Hassan graduated from Aspire Academy in 2011. He was the youngest player to appear in the 2011 AFC Champions League at 17 years old, coming off the bench against Esteghlal. His team subsequently emerged champions of the Champions League that year. He was awarded Young Player of the Year in the 2012–13 Qatar Stars League. It was announced in June 2017 that Al Sadd had loaned him to Belgian First Division A side Eupen. Qatar National Football Team
The Qatar national football team ( ar, منتخب قطر لكرة القدم) represents Qatar in international football, and is controlled by the Qatar Football Association and AFC. The team has appeared in ten Asian Cup tournaments and won it once in 2019, beating Japan, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea in the process, conceding just one goal. They play their home games at Khalifa International Stadium and Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium. The latter is considered the home stadium for the team. Aspire Academy ( ar, أكاديمية أسباير, Akādīmiyat 'Asbāyr) is a sports academy based in the Aspire Zone in Qatar, founded in 2004 with the goal to scout and help develop Qatari athletes, whilst also providing them with secondary school education. The 2013 AFC U-22 Championship qualification was the qualification tournament for the inaugural edition of the AFC U-22 Asian Cup. The Qatar International Friendship Tournament is an association football competition. In its 10th year, it was held in Doha, Qatar 38 March 2012. The edition reverted to featuring youth teams as opposed to the 9th edition that featured senior teams. Four teams were represented in the tournament. The tournament was won by Greece.
