Abdel-Halim Caracalla
Abdel-Halim Caracalla is the founder and the artistic director of the Lebanese dance company Caracalla Dance Theatre, a company which would evolve into the first and most prominent dance theatre of the Middle East, creating a new language based upon the disciplines of western technique intertwined with the identity, movement and traditions of Arab cultural heritage. Since 1968 Caracalla created over twenty ballets and musicals including adaptations of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Taming of the Shrew and Much Ado About Nothing. Franco Zeffirelli
Gian Franco Corsi Zeffirelli (12 February 1923 – 15 June 2019), was an Italian stage and film director, producer, production designer and politician. He was one of the most significant opera and theatre directors of the post-World War II era, gaining both acclaim and notoriety for his lavish stagings of classical works, as well as his film adaptations of the same. A member of the Forza Italia party, he served as the Senator for Catania between 1994 until 2001. Ezio Frigerio
Ezio Frigerio (16 July 1930 – 2 February 2022) was an Italian costume designer and art director. Career After finishing architecture studies, he approached theatre art by realising the costumes for ''Casa di Bambola'' and '' L'opera da 3 soldi'', two plays directed by Giorgio Strehler at Piccolo Teatro in the 1955-56 theatre season. From then on a fertile artistic marriage started between art director and producer, setting up several unique productions as ''I giganti della montagna'' (1966), ''Santa Giovanna dei macelli'' (1970), ''Re Lear'' (1972), ''Il temporale'' (1980), '' L'Illusion Comique'', which premiered in 1984 at Théatre de l'Odéon in Paris, ''La grande magia'', which premiered in 1985 and was reprised several times.
