Abdallahi Mahmoud
Abdallahi Mohamed Mahmoud (born 4 May 2000) is a Mauritanian professional footballer who plays as either a central defender or a midfielder for Spanish club Deportivo Alavés and the Mauritania national team. Club career Born in Dar-Naim, Mahmoud started his career with FC Nouadhibou, first playing for their main squad in 2017. On 8 August 2018, after impressing with the under-20 national team in the L'Alcúdia International Football Tournament, he signed for La Liga side Deportivo Alavés, being initially assigned to the youth setup. Midway through the 2018–19 season, Mahmoud started to appear with the reserves in Tercera División, and contributed with one goal in 12 appearances (play-offs included) as his side achieved promotion to Segunda División B. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''. 2020–21 Segunda División B
The 2020–21 Segunda División B season was the 44th since its establishment and the last as the third tier. A total of 102 teams participated, and were distributed in three groups of 20 teams each and two groups of 21, with eight subgroups of ten teams each and two with eleven teams each. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the expansion of the league to what were initially five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season due to promotion from the Tercera División groups in the curtailed past season being applied. The season began on 18 October, following approval by each of Spain's autonomous regions' health departments. For next season the Segunda División B was demoted to the fourth level and dropped the B in its name in favour of the federation's Spanish initials RFEF on the creation of a new, two-group, 40-team third division called Primera División RFEF. 2019–20 Segunda División B
The 2019–20 Segunda División B season was the 43rd since its establishment. Eighty teams participated, distributed in four groups of twenty clubs each. On 11 March 2020, the season of Segunda División B was suspended due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the league, revoking all relegations and planning an eventual promotion playoff to be played if possible. Also, the expansion of the league to five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season (due to promotion from the curtailed Tercera División groups being applied) was approved. The 2019 Tercera División play-offs to Segunda División B from Tercera División (Promotion play-offs) were the final playoffs for the promotion from 2018–19 Tercera División to 2019–20 Segunda División B. The first four teams in each group took part in the play-off. Format The eighteen group winners have the opportunity to be promoted directly to Segunda División B. The eighteen group winners will be drawn into a two-legged series where the nine winners will promote to Segunda División B. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
