Abbi (musician)
Absalom Nyinza, popularly Abbi, is an Afro-jazz and Afro-fusion musician from Kenya. He is backed by the Kikwetu band. He sings in several languages, including Swahili, English, French, his native Luhya and some other tribal languages. Abbi started his career in 1993 being a member of a cappella gospel group ''The Boyz'', which was later renamed ''Safari''. He toured the United Kingdom and Germany with the band. Later he was part of Achieng Abura's band, and toured Spain during that time. His solo debut album, ''Mudunia'' was released in 2003. At the 2004 Kisima Music Awards he won two categories: ''Best male'' and ''Most Promising artist''. His second album ''Indigo'' was released in August 2007. Abbi (Saxon)
Albion (or Abbion shortened to Abbio or Abbi, also Alboin) was a Germanic leader of the Saxons in the time of Charlemagne. (exact dates remain unknown) Albbi is considered one of the two principal Saxon chiefs along with Widukind. He was the leader of the Eastphalians while the latter ruled the Westphalian Saxons. Both opposed the aggressive eastern expansion of the Carolingian Empire. They mustered an army and fought Charlemagne in two major battles, at Osnabrück and Detmold. After these conflicts the Saxons were recorded to have taken 4,000 prisoners. In 785, after being defeated in the Saxon wars, fleeing across the Elbe, Albion was baptized together with Widukind, possibly in Attigny, with Charlemagne as his godfather. Abbi Aitken-Drummond (; born 11 April 1991) is a Scottish international cricketer. She plays for the Scotland Women cricket team where she is a right-handed batsman and right arm medium pace bowler. She was one of the youngest members of the team for ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Stellenbosch in 2008. She was the captain of her national team. Abigail E. "Abbi" Fisher-Gould (born August 30, 1957) is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from the United States. Born in South Conway, New Hampshire, she had one World Cup victory and three podiums. She suffered a knee injury in March 1979, at the pre-Olympic downhill at Lake Placid. Abbi Grant (born 11 December 1995) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a forward for Glasgow City and for the Scotland national team. Club career On 13 March 2012, Grant left Rangers to join Forfar Farmington. On 13 February 2014, after two years with Forfar, Grant signed with Glasgow City. She moved to Hibernian in 2015.
