Abbas Attiya
Abbas Attiya Zwair (born 25 August 1969), commonly known as Abbas Attiya, is a coach and former Iraqi football player, who is currently a coach of Al-Kahrabaa FC. Manager career Attiya led Al-Sinaat Al-Kahrabaiya in the beginning of the 2018-2019 season. He left the team signing for Al-Kahrabaa FC, which he leads now. Karbala SC
Karbala Sport Club is an Iraqi football club based in Karbala that plays in the Iraqi Premier League, the top tier of Iraqi football. SWAT Incident On June 23, 2013, after a match against Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, seven football players of Karbala FC and their coach were beaten by the anti-terror police. They used sticks and batons against the coach and his players. Five of them were in critical condition, and on the 30th of June, Mohammed Al-Jaboury, coach of Karbala FC has died in hospital. Stadium Karbala International Stadium is a purpose built football stadium being constructed in Karbala, Iraq. 2018–19 Iraq FA Cup
The 2018–19 Iraq FA Cup was the 29th edition of the Iraqi knockout football cup as a clubs-only competition, the main domestic cup in Iraqi football. A total of 20 teams from the Iraqi Premier League and 25 teams from the Iraq Division One and Iraq Division Two participated. It started on 12 September 2018 and the final was played on 26 July 2019 at the Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad. The winners of the competition were Al-Zawraa, who extended their record number of cup wins to 16 with a 1–0 victory over Al-Kahrabaa, thanks to a late goal by Safaa Hadi. Format Participation The cup starts with the first round, consisting of 24 teams from the Iraq Division One and Iraq Division Two. 1 team is automatically placed in the playoff round, where they face one of the first round's winners for a place in the Round of 32. 2016 AFC U-19 Championship
The 2016 AFC U-19 Championship was the 39th edition of the AFC U-19 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-19 national teams of Asia. The tournament was hosted by Bahrain, as announced by the AFC on 3 June 2015, and was scheduled to be played between 13–30 October 2016. A total of 16 teams played in the tournament. Same as previous editions, the tournament acted as the AFC qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The top four teams of the tournament qualified for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea as the AFC representatives, besides South Korea who qualified automatically as hosts. The 2021–22 Iraq Division One will be the 48th season of the Iraq Division One, the second tier of the Iraqi football league system since its establishment in 1974. The number of clubs in the league have varied throughout history for various reasons; in this season the number of clubs has been reduced from 28 teams to 24. The top two teams are directly promoted to the Iraqi Premier League, while the bottom 4 teams in each group are directly relegated to the Iraq Division Two. The season is scheduled to start on 12 October 2021, while the summer transfer window began on August 1 and ended on midnight on September 19.
