Abba Sayyadi Ruma
Abba Sayyadi Ruma (13 March 1962 – 27 October 2021) was appointed Federal Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources in Nigeria by President Umaru Yar'Adua on 26 July 2007. He left office in March 2010 when acting president Goodluck Jonathan dissolved his cabinet. He was chairman of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development headquartered in Rome, Italy, and was a Partner Minister of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Background Ruma was born on 13 March 1962. He gained a BA in history from the University of Sokoto, a Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a PhD in international relations from the University of Abuja. Adamu Bello
Adamu Bello (born 20 May 1951) is a Nigerian politician who was Federal Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development from 2001 to 2007. He also headed the consolidated Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources from January to May 2007. Early life and education Bello was born in 1951 in Numan, Adamawa State, Nigeria, the son of Justice Mohammed Bello. He had a comfortable childhood with a complete education. Justice Bello died in 1956 leaving Adamu in the care of his oldest brother, Justice Aminu Bello. Umaru Musa Yar'Adua
Umaru Musa Yar'Adua (16 August 19515 May 2010) was a Nigerian politician who, was the President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. He was declared the winner of the Nigerian presidential election held on 21 April 2007, and was sworn in on 29 May 2007. He served previously as the governor of Katsina state from 1999 to 2007; and was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In 2009, Yar'Adua left for Saudi Arabia to receive treatment for pericarditis. He returned to Nigeria on 24 February 2010, but died on 5 May.
