Abba Kabir Yusuf
Abba Kabir Yusuf born (5 January 1963) is a Nigerian politician who has served as the governor of Kano State since 2023. He served as a commissioner of executive council in Kano State from 2011 to 2015. Early life and education Abba Kabir Yusuf was born in the notable family of Malam Kabiru Yusuf and Hajiya Khadijatul-Naja’atu in Gaya Local Government Area of Kano State on 5 January 1963. Yusuf started his Islamic education at an early age under the guidance of his late grandfather, Dan makwayon Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Bashari who was the then District Head of Gaya local government area of Kano State, Nigeria. He attended Sumaila primary school between 1968 and 1975. 2019 Kano State Gubernatorial Election
The 2019 Kano State gubernatorial election occurred on March 9, 2019. APC candidate Abdullahi Umar Ganduje won re-election for a second term, defeating PDP Abba Kabir Yusuf and other 53 candidates. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje emerged APC's candidate in the primary election as the sole candidate. He chose Nasir Yusuf Gawuna as his running mate. Umaru Musa Yar'Adua (16 August 19515 May 2010) was a Nigerian politician who, was the President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. He was declared the winner of the Nigerian presidential election held on 21 April 2007, and was sworn in on 29 May 2007.
