Mariano Abasolo
Jose Mariano de Abasolo (1783–1816) was a Mexican revolutionist, born at Dolores, Guanajuato. He participated in the revolution started by Miguel Hidalgo. Biography In 1809 he belonged to one of the first conspiracy groups located in Valladolid (today's Morelia). The conspiracy was discovered but Ignacio Allende and Abasolo were not imprisoned. Immediately they joined another conspiracy group in Queretaro. Abasolo was rich; mainly he economically supported the independence movement and was not involved in many military actions. At the beginning of the war, on 15 September 1810, he was ordered by Hidalgo to seize all the weapons and munitions that were kept in the arsenal of Dolores. In 1810 he went with the independent army to San Miguel el Grande (today's San Miguel de Allende), Celaya, where he was named captain of the Dragones de la Reyna regiment. Paul Abasolo Amantegi (; born 29 June 1984) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a forward. Club career Born in Durango, Biscay, Abasolo spent seven years connected with Athletic Bilbao, six in the youth system and one with the farm team, CD Basconia. Released in 2003, he played the better part of the following six years in the Segunda División B and in his native Basque Country, the sole exception being SD Eibar in the first part of the 2004–05 season in the Segunda División, with that club loaning him consecutively to two other teams in division three, SD Lemona and Logroñés CF.
