Abaddon Incarnate
Abaddon Incarnate are an Irish deathgrind band. History Abaddon Incarnate was formed in Dublin in 1994, playing fast death metal with grindcore elements. Under the name Bereaved the band released two demo cassette tapes, ''Signs of Death'' in 1992 and ''Tortured Souls'' in 1994. The decision was made to change their name to Abaddon Incarnate on the release of their third demo, ''When the Demons Come''. Since then the band has released two more promos (in 1996 and 2001) and five full-length album releases, namely ''The Last Supper'' in 1999, ''Nadir'' in 2001, ''Dark Crusade'' in 2003 and ''Cascade'' in 2009, ''Pessimist'' in 2014. Additionally a split 7-inch with U.S. grind band "Phobia" was released in 2011. The band has toured extensively in Europe including Spain, France, Britain, Switzerland, Germany. Grindcore is an extreme fusion genre of heavy metal and hardcore punk that originated in the mid-1980s, drawing inspiration from abrasive-sounding musical styles, such as thrashcore, crust punk, hardcore punk, extreme metal, and industrial. Grindcore is considered a more noise-filled style of hardcore punk while using hardcore's trademark characteristics such as heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdriven bass, high-speed tempo, blast beats, and vocals which consist of growls, shouts and high-pitched shrieks. Early groups like Napalm Death are credited with laying the groundwork for the style. It is most prevalent today in North America and Europe, with popular contributors such as Brutal Truth and Nasum. Lyrical themes range from a primary focus on social and political concerns, to gory subject matter and black humor. Season Of Mist
Season of Mist is an independent record label and record distributor with subsidiaries in France and the United States. The record label was founded in 1996 by Michael S. Berberian in Marseille, France. From the start releasing black metal, pagan metal, and death metal records, the label moved on to releasing albums of avant-garde metal, gothic metal and punk bands as well. The label has two offices, one in Marseille, France and one in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Candlelight Records is a British record label based in England and founded by former Extreme Noise Terror bassist Lee Barrett, though it has had a division in the United States since January 2001. Candlelight Records specialises in black metal, and later on melodic death metal and death metal, having bands such as Emperor, Obituary, 1349, Theatre of Tragedy, Xerath, Dismember, Keep of Kalessin, Nachtmystium and Zyklon on its roster.
