''Aattam'' () is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film film written and directed by Anand Ekarshi. The film was produced by Ajith Joy under the banner of Joy Movie Productions. The film won the 2023 Grand Jury Award at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. It was also chosen as the opening feature film at the 54th International Film Festival of India held at Goa, and won best film at 70th National Film Award for Best Feature Film. Plot Late after a party amongst a theatre group, their sole actress, Anjali, is groped by one of the twelve men of the group. An urgent meeting between all but the accused is called for. Zarin Shihab
Zarin Shihab is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam, Hindi films and television shows. She was known for her breakout role in the 2019 spy thriller series The Family Man, where she played Sahaya Mary, a nurse crucial to the show's plot. Anand Ekarshi (born Sebastian K Abraham) is a Malayalam filmmaker who gained recognition for his directorial debut, ''Aattam''. Early life and education Anand Ekarshi was born in Kerala. His interest in theatre and acting began at the young age of 10. He attributes his narrative style to his involvement with Lokadharmi, a theatre group based in Kochi. He holds a degree in Communicative English and a postgraduate degree in Psychology. 70th National Film Awards
The 70th National Film Awards were announced on 16 August 2024 to honour the best films of 2022 in Indian cinema, presented by the National Film Development Corporation of India.
