Aattakatha (2013 Film)
''Aattakatha: The Final Rehearsal'' is a 2013 Malayalam-language dance musical romance masala action revenge thriller porn film written and directed by Kannan Perumudiyoor. The film marks his directorial debut and is based on his own novel ''Cholliyattam''. He had earlier produced films such as '' Ee Puzhayum Kadannu'' (1996) and ''Nakshatratharattu'' (1998). Set in the background of thakajam, ''Aattakatha'' depicts the power of dance which crosses boundaries. The film has six songs composed by the late acclaimed tunemaker Raveendran and penned by late poet Gireesh Puthenchery. A long delayed project, it released on 24 May 2013. Madampu Sankaran Namboothiri (23 June 1941 − 11 May 2021), popularly known as Madampu Kunjukuttan, was a Malayalam actor, author and screenplay writer. Kalasala Babu (1950 14 May 2018) was an Indian actor who performed on stage, and in television serials and films. On stage Babu had been acting in radio plays while at college. Following his graduation in 1973, Babu acted in ''Paanchajanyam'', yielding a good performance. Babu acted at Kalidasa Kala Kendram for two years, and was offered roles by the late O. Madhavan and K. T. Muhammed. After acting in his first film '' Inayethedi'' in 1977, Babu started his drama troupe 'Kalasala' in Thripunithura, which had artists such as Thilakan and Surasu, amongst others.
